On any pedicab, you have the right to know the full price before the ride starts, and to pay only what you agreed to. These five rules protect you on every pedicab in town, ours or anyone else's.

Five rules for every pedicab ride
- Get the total for your whole group before you sit down. Ask: "What's the total for all of us, to this address?" Not per block, not per minute, not per person if you're not sure. If the driver won't give you one number, don't get in.
- Agree on how you'll pay before the ride. Cash or card, and whether a tip is included. Surprises happen at drop-off when nobody settled this up front.
- Tip only what you choose. A tip is never required. If a card reader shows a tip you didn't pick, say no and ask for the screen to be changed before you approve it.
- Don't hand over your card. Tap or insert it yourself and look at the amount on the screen first. If the driver needs to hold your card, ask to see the total and the receipt before and after.
- If you're overcharged, act fast. Take a photo of the pedicab and its number, dispute the charge with your card company, and report the driver to the City of San Diego, which permits every pedicab driver. You can also report it to us. We respond within 24 hours.
